Qualifications

• Graduated from 4-year faculties (preferably Computer Engineering, Software Engineering, Mathematics-Computer, etc.),
• Proficient in SQL, JavaScript, Shell, Python, R, and LaTeX,
• Experienced in developing web-based applications and interfaces (django and HTMx are preferred),
• Preferably knowledgeable in the LaTeX document preparation system,
• Familiar with container structures and technologies,
• Comfortable working on Linux systems and command-line interfaces,
• Experienced in version control and code management using Git,
• Preferably able to work in a hybrid model at our office in Gölbaşı, Ankara,
• Preferably has at least 2 years of experience in software development processes, has worked on bioinformatics and/or healthcare software projects, and is familiar with Emacs org mode,
• Proficient in English,
• Capable of using MS Office programs,
• A good team player.

Job Description

• Monitor, report, and integrate existing and new technologies to be used throughout the project,
• Design and implement the database structure based on the data model to be used,
• Responsible for developing Python interfaces on the Galaxy Project,
• Set up and implement communication between different systems and databases via APIs,
• Develop user-friendly web applications (django) and reporting tools (LaTeX),
• Implement the workflows designed by the bioinformatics team in the software,
• Manage software versioning and publishing processes,
• Participate in software testing and validation processes.
